Mental Freedom Certified (MFC) Values

Mental Freedom Certified professionals are part of a growing community committed to helping people eliminate unnecessary suffering, improve their most important relationships, and strengthen resilience—especially during life's challenges.

Mental Freedom is not about fixing broken people. It is about providing actionable, practical frameworks that help individuals regain perspective, agency, and choice—particularly when experiencing moments of stress, conflict, or uncertainty.

What Guides Our Work

Responsibility over Blame

We teach and model personal responsibility for thoughts, language, and behavior—without shame, judgment, or victimizing narratives.

Respect and Compassion

We approach every individual with respect and curiosity, based on the belief that people are doing the best they can with the awareness and tools they currently have.

Immediate and Practical Application

We value common sense, usable concepts that people can apply immediately to real-life situations, rather than complex or abstract theory.

Integrity and Alignment

Mental Freedom Certified professionals strive to live the principles they teach. Staying current, reflective, and aligned with the work is part of what it means to responsibly represent Mental Freedom.

Growth as a Lifelong Practice

Learning doesn't end with certification. We value reflection, self-evaluation, feedback, and ongoing personal and professional growth.

Connection and Community

Mental Freedom is strengthened and supported through community. MFCs are part of a supportive network of professionals who share ideas, experiences, and a common purpose.

What It Means to Be Mental Freedom Certified

Being an MFC means more than completing training. It means applying Mental Freedom principles thoughtfully, ethically, and consistently in one's work and life.

MFCs may identify as counselors, coaches, educators, or facilitators, but all share the same foundation and commitment to the values that guide Mental Freedom.

Together, Mental Freedom Certified professionals help ensure that the work stays relevant, accessible, and impactful for people who want greater emotional balance, resilience, and mental freedom.

What people are saying

I can confidently say this certification is one of the most transformative professional experiences I've ever undertaken. Kim's framework doesn't just teach theory—it equips you with a practical, compassionate, and deeply empowering methodology to guide others break free from emotional suffering and reclaim their inner peace. The training itself is rigorous yet deeply human. Kim models the very principles she teaches—respect, autonomy, and unconditional positive regard.

— Todor Simeonov

I have had the blessing of working with Kim for years. Our paths have crossed as Military Life Consultants and colleagues. Primarily Kim has been a mentor for me in the professional arena as a clinician and the personal arena as a mother of sons. I have taken her coaching certification course, mental freedom course and connected her to the Army Reserve for Diversity Training. She is a wealth of knowledge and a great example of living in Mental Freedom!

— Carmella Navarro

I learned how to guide clients through a process that helps them separate pain from suffering, challenge limiting beliefs, and take ownership of their behaviour and experience. It's not about fixing people—it's about navigating them to access the freedom that's already within them. I have used Choice Theory and Reality Therapy for years in my private practice. Now with the Mental Freedom coaching this is the bow that ties it all together. I'm excited to bring this dynamic to my clients.
